Oh FFS.  I had a brilliant time last night, CORing on the medieval field systems, CORing on the flood defences, CORing up and down banks.

And my reward is a sleepless night of pain and painkillers, and being unable to finish fettling the ivy down the side of the house, and being too sore to ride my bike in the sun.  Dammit.  So sick of being sore all the time.  Ow.

Grumble grumble grumble.

Why in the name of pie floaters did you swap the positions of the printer and the fax?  Now I'm all confused ???

I hope they don't try to move the stationary cupboard.

You, sonny, work for a builders merchants. I am a clueless fecker who knows fuck all about such things, so when I ask how much sand and cement I need to lay 11 sq m of slabs, I do not expect to hear, & I quote: "I haven't got a clue, mate". I cannot be the first clueless fecker to have called you, so get a clue, dipstick. I realise it's a "how long's a piece of string" question, but help me narrow it down, why don't you?

I am peeved because I finally got around to doing the online course that I should have done in December and I booked it and paid by paypal and got put through to an error page.  >:(. The 2 phone numbers I found went to voicemail (at 3.45 - taking the mickey I think!) and one of the 2 email addresses bounced. The other has not so I'll hopefully get a message back, probably on monday, but who knows, when I haven't got time to spend 3 hours doing a course. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I haven't written invoices; I haven't updated attendance records; I haven't written to people I should have.

I have drunk coffee in the sun; eaten ice-cream in the sun; looked at Tawny Owlets in the sun; ridden my bike in the sun and sat out in the sun.

Can't grumble really.

Various Leamington Freegle users: It's free, right? So no, I don't intend delivering 25 heavy slabs that I am offering. Cheeky buggers!

Swapped the winter tyres for summer Off Road knobblies. We are now forecast snow.

A very minor grumble this. It's my day off, and my only timed item for the day is to get to the Pop up shop with some stock, and I can't do that before 9, and indeed could do it any time during the day. Everything is ready to go, and it's a 5 minute ride. I was up for work time on Saturday for the Open Studio, and yesterday so that we could get to a couple of car boot sales. Today, I could have a little lie in.

So, I was wide awake at 7.  ???

Still, I've just been highly entertained to see the business correspondant on BBC breakfast showing off her Irish dancing skills.

(not about the snow you understand, more the fact that I've not swapped the tyres yet)

First day back to work after 3 days off....get up at 6am so in work by 6.10am (work at home). I know I have half a dozen reports to run so will order them before the network gets busy with everyone running their end of month reports.

Sigh.... couldn't log on as I kept getting "Runtime Errors."

Finally, near four hours later, I manage to log on.... only to find 106 reports ahead of me in the queue! I estimate I won't get my reports until mid afternoon now.

Just off to put my snow tyres back on. Well I have the time now!

I wish my hip would stop hurting and I wish they'd hurry up and send me my physio appointment and I wish the weather wasn't hideous and I wish it was Thursday. *sigh*

You've got me wondering: Is there a tribute band in Chile, known as the Red Hot Chile Peppers?

I don't like complaining about the nhs, but I'm just about to...
Why can't my mum get through to anyone on this 'ere ward, in 4 hours of trying? I know it's not a medical emergency or anything, but, even so.

It's not like they're busy looking after you either! I assume you finally managed to get some water from someone?

They've left Sylvia on the commode for an hour, now.

On the subject of precipitation:

Woman in Waitrose. Yes, it's still raining. This is not 'terrible'.  It's normal. April is a wet month. Chaucer and Bambi were aware of this, why are you so surprised?  Not to mention the utter lack of rain in March means we really need this rain.

I don't think it's 'terrible', and I was out working in it all bloody day!

Easter is a busy time for me with all the different choir bits and pieces, so I only get Monday to do some nice cycling. Why has the weather decided that's the day to chuck it down all day :(
