To The Sun then

I'm away for a bit on the IBT Cotswold tour with the Americans. [It's now been re-named 'A Cycling Journey: English Villages along the River Avon']. Not exactly catchy and no more accurate since we also follow the River Kennet, visit towns/cities like Bath, Bristol and Stratford-upon-[the other River]-Avon.  ::-)

I'm not sure about IBT either, too close to IBS   Can't they call it "Wombling Around with Tomsk" or something similar?

Has anyone used that byway at Colemans Cottage Fishery (off Little Braxted Lane) to get over to/from Braxted Road?  If so, what sort of surface is it? Toying with it as an alternative to the A12 on the way home.

I think huggy or OD took a group of witham cycling folks over there once.  I wasn't there, but have a vague memory, which could be completely bogus, that lifting bikes over gates might have been involved.

I've got a new route now with A12 option as well... beer list looks great for tonight... Nik - you should really start your beer free training tomorrow...

OD led us down there on the rubbish roads ride. I wouldn't want to take anything with narrow tyres down there but was on my slicked mountain bike and fine.

I'll possibly be at the roundabout if I get my act together in time.  Otherwise I'll see you at the pub.

Anybody got a route they want to do?

I'll be getting there for 8-8:30pm if anyone is getting there before 9pm, I've not seen an eta from others.

I was hoping to get out for a nice ride across this evening, using the Flitch Way. Unfortunately I'm still stuck working and not able to get away for quite a while yet, so will be missing out. Not happy  :(

If I don't make it to the roundabout, I'll aim for an 8:30 ish arrival at the pub
