I'm in North London on a course this week. We've finished early today, there's a bit of sun, I have a handbag bulging with Montezuma truffles and I'm about to head for Cycle Surgery for a drool.  :D  Happyhappyhappy.

I spent some of it on delicious lentil curry ingredients :)

Any chance of posting the recipe to 'Food and Drink'?

There you go :)

And congratulations, Peli and Woolly!

At home with a horrible cold and sore throat (didn't have a protein drink after finishing Saturday's Audax and my immune system is rebelling).

The good news is I've only needed to do a few bits of work and I've had time to clean/service both the recently used bikes.

With respect, given the 2 rides you've done over 8 days and the weather involved, you would have needed more than extra protein to prevent nastiness (certainly I'd have been vulnerable to lurghies).
You HAVE heard of OVERtraining, haven't you?

Enjoy the fettling. And the HoE300 ;-)

Recently found about 8 VHS tapes of Red Dwarf (which hasn't been shown here for years) for $1 each (that's, errrm, 0.00125p, I think).

I went to bingo on Monday (a group of us from work go once a month and everyone there hates us because we spend most of our time laughing instead of concentrating) and I won £140.

My younger daughter has been accepted on a three-week placement helping in a Peruvian orphanage, in the town of Huancayo.

Wikipedia tells us that this place is 3271 metres above sea level and used to be inhabited by the Wankas.

I'll bet they do, I was walking through a packed out bingo hall, years ago before mobile phones had been made popular, to do a job in the bar, when my beeper went off - 200 middle aged Welsh dragons eyeing you with hatred and loathing.  Phew! I've never recovered.

I must admit to having been quite judgemental about bingo before I ever went. And now I've been, I must admit that it exactly met all my expectations, but also turned out to be great fun. We go after work and get our tea there and it's always something orange/yellow - macaroni cheese and Irn Bru, cauliflower cheese, things in orange batter - bingo tea is known as orange dinner.

I've finally completed on a house I was trying to buy. I picked the keys up today and I still like it .

Came back via a fantastic alternative route for my commute too. I now get a 20 mile round trip. Hope I'm up to it.

Just took a faulty toaster back to Currys which was under guarantee, not only did they change it but I had £35 back 'cos the price has dropped.
