Rides and Touring / Re: Have you been out today?

5k test run on the electrified Triban. Somewhat sluggish, I'll put another bar in the tyres. Other than that it needs a longer stem - I bought an S based on my height but I'm a long-bodied low-down bum so maybe an M would've been better. Still, that's what stems are for.

It would require an astonishing turn of results for the Bears to be relegated.  Although stranger things have happened.  It is very hard to win both the last two matches in the season and most teams can harvest a few bonus points, even in a dire game.

Well done all! My stepsiblings' mum's house sold similarly quickly once cleared and they had to do a bit of catchup too (and are still in probate process).

Yes, a very topsy-turvy match, sadly...

Teh Mandoloran.

The plot is rudimentary, the narrative is mostly absent, the dialogue wooden and convoluted. The characters are shallow an poorly developed. It’s a series of (fairly weak) set pieces linked less convincingly than those in a low budget pron film. The props and sfx are low rent AND I’ve seen better acting in school productions.

Other than that … it’s better than the sportball.

All that, but it provided Quality Time (tm) with my 13yo, so it was useful.

Currently 'All the light we cannot see" on Netflux. Short series, well done. House does a really good job of an English accent ;)

I have tickets to take my sisters to see David Tennant in The Scotish Play at the Howard Pintner Theatre next month. They went on sale yesterday lunch time and by 4pm I could barely get three seats together.

It should be a good night out.

OT Knowledge / Re: Kitchens that aren't chipboard and melamine

Bespoke territory I think. Will need plenty of budget tho but.
e.g.

A lot of the drawer fronts and doors on bespoke kitchens are veneered MDF, because solid stuff can move about requiring the joiner to re-visit for minor adjustments.

Awesome work @northumberlandnick.

I've done my fair share of wading into the forth to get tiles- 3 or 4 where I've been shin deep in mud.  I never did that Hopetoun Bank one, doing the SUP E of the Bridge. Still want to visit all tiles W of the bridge to Kincardine by SUP.

« Last post by Philip Whiteman on Yesterday at 12:57:34 pm »
Hello All

Salinae and Cotswolds returns this year with something new, Live Tracking!   In preparation for the LEL, this event will be a test-bed for the technology.  Being tracked is optional but if you want to see how it works, please enter by 1st November at the latest.  We can then send over the live track details to Danial for inputting.   Participants will still need to use either a brevet card or e-brevet as proof-of-passage.

Cafe start and hall finish from Droitwich Spa, with controls at Tewkesbury, Witney and Shipston.

Details can be found at https://www.droitwichcyclingclub.co.uk/audax/

Regards

Philip
