The new standard, we're told (by Schwalbe), about to punish Presta, see off Schrader and do down Dunlop. Supposedly easier to use and harder to damage than Presta but hold pressure better than Dunlop (Woods0 and Schrader.

Anybody used them? Or even seen them? Or would use them if you found them in your LBS in your size?

Something about them popped up in Mr Zuckerberg’s Walled Garden the other day.

Not thus far, plus I've got a cupboard full of Presta tubes that will probably outlast both the Perfectly Good Gentleman’s Mountain Bicycle and me.

First I've heard of it. Will I need a new pump?
(Presta are a bit fragile, but it's really not holding back my riding).

You can use an adapter, so no need for a new pump.

From what I've seen, this looks like a good idea. Especially for tubeless. They won't be as prone to gum up with sealant and you can get air through the valve much faster.

Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Interesting.  More details here:  https://www.schwalbe.com/en/clik-valve/

Looks like it's Presta valve diameter (so works with narrow rims), and can be inflated with a Presta pump head.  So scores well on compatibility.

I'll probably get some to play with, at least for the racing wheels where I keep destroying the covers fighting with Presta valves.

this solves the problem i don't have, but i approve the design and backwards compatibility with existing valves.

the adapter i was looking for and couldn't find before: the one that threads onto a presta valve stem (i.e. not core) and allows the use of car tyre pump at garages to seat/inflate the tyre. it's pretty niche, but in certain scenarios would come in handy.

those are ubiquitous and i have a few, but it's not the thing i'm after. i'd like the one allowing me to use a presta valve with core removed with a car tyre inflator.

Would that be for setting up tubless tyres?

for setting tubeless up i've got all the equipment at home, but for troubleshooting them while traveling in more remote areas this doodad would be handy to have (and would take up no space in prk).
