Excellent news - bike to work scheme has abandoned halfords, and gone with cyclescheme.co.uk
I'm going to get an alfine hub disc brake flat bar, 700C wheeled commuter. Must take rack and guards. Aim is low maintenance (hence hub gear and hydraulic discs) then as fast as I can get with that spec.
In the frame so far:
Giant escape R sub zero
Mongoose Sabrosa Ocho
Charge Mixer
An outside chance is something from on-one if he can do the cycle scheme thing, and come in less than the scheme limit of £1000
Any other suggestions?
