I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread and polluting it with my dodgy shots?

First time on a bent (it isn't but we won't mention the off)  ::-)

Bottlemasher, Charlotte, and Zipperhead lurk.

PGTips needs a periscope on Charlotte's Baron.

A pink mivi.

A FAB.

The winner of the fast group, lapped the mivi twice!

The pilot.

Peter Stringfellow's tights are a bit loud, eh?

I haven't been to a BHPC meet in over a decade, but it's amusing how many people I recognise in those photos.  The same old people... ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

Yes, The pilot of the Goldie/Brown streamliner is Steve Slade, who has been racing since the early 90's. The 'Peter Stringfellow' chap is Denis Adcock, who has been racing since those tights were in fashion.  ;D

I'm suprised to see Charlotte and PGtips out on the track unadorned by helmetage. The BHPC are usually strict about them.
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...

They are - we weren't racing, just having a little spin when the track was not being used.

They still usually require them. I got told off once for letting someone try one of my recumbents without a helmet, and we were on the grass in the middle of the track.

Bonkers  :) in this order: FAB > mivi > that bloke's spangly tights > gold streamliner.

Beautiful shot mate. Very nicely done. Am loving the Muddy Fox wheel cover too... Ah, that takes me back :)

That shot of 102 seemingly reversing away from the camera at great speed puts me in mind of TRON's lightcycles (which to be honest, is why we all ride 'bents, neh?)
A touch of rear curtain sync'd flash might sort it, but this is from someone who'd have missed the shot entirely whilst faffing with the manual.

Lovely set of captures. Very envious.

Seeing these excellent pics. draws attention to the fact that a two wheeled recumbent is something that is missing from the fleet.
I expect to be very near to Falmouth soon;home of Trice who now make such a machine.A factory visit might be necessary ;)

Steve "Slash" Slade has been racing since the early 80's.  Come to that, so has Dennis.  He's one of the four people who've been BHPC members continuously since the club was founded in the summer of 1983.

I think I've seen Steve and Dennis at every BHPC meet I've ever been to.  I know Mike Burrows was also always at those, and for that matter so was one Mr Larrington...

I really must make the next Hillingdon meet, in September.
