Shall I buy a supply of extra large sticky plasters, just in case?

I figure I'll just turn up and bleed everywhere.  I seem to be getting good at that.

I think it would be in keeping with the spirit of the ride!

I was tempted to buy an expensive jersey for this ride (as my skeleton-themed jersey has done a runner), but instead I think I'll mutilate a beaten-up old jersey or t-shirt.  Who can tell me where to buy light-reflective spray paint?

Thinks ..........

I've got a spare left hand.
Or is it two spare left hands ??

I wonder where I can fix them to the Trice for this ride ............  :D

I bought a witches nose today, specially for this!  ;D

Really?  I was planning on chocolate raisins and jaffa cakes again, but each to their own.  ;)

(I'm thinking a witch's nose would taste like a big pork scratching, for some reason.)

Only just seen this thread, and I've got the first of the seasons lurgies, but is there any room for a "possible" ?

Having me on the trip means anyone else is spared the embarrasment of being last....;-)

I think there's plenty of room for a possible.  I don't think anyone's going to stop you, and the only limiting factor is likely to be the amount of space available on the steam train involved in the return route, which sounds like it probably won't be a problem anyway.
Actually, it is rocket science.

Don't think of it as last. Think of it as Lanterne Rouge.

Or first, once we turn round to come back...   ;)

I think there might be a few of us being last together, at least up the hills.

And I'm planning to go and do a bit of riding round there a couple of days beforehand, and will go and talk to people on the steam train (even if I don't go for a ride) about how many bikes/trike/assorted wheeled contraptions will fit.

Trick is to get them to see it as a challenge.  Remember the Welsh Highland Railway benchmark is three recumbents (one which got unloaded through the 'window' of the open carriage) after forgetting to fit the bike wagon to the train.  They should be able to beat that easily by simply not forgetting the guard's van.

Tell them about the night ride aspect, CL, and they might respect us for being as nutty as they are about our chosen hobby...

Or take them one of your cakes....

Oh, and number two in a series of "Did I see your offspring?", would the littlest cub have been taken somewhere in a trailer behind a bearded chap (onna bike, obviously), Tuesday morning about 8.15-8.30ish?

That could be a winning strategy.  If all else fails, CL can distract them with CAKE while we sneak all the [b|tr]ikes on.

Hmmm. I'm wondering how easy it is to 'sneak' a flouro orange trike anywhere....   ;)

Ah! We build a small wall of cake across the platform, and perform our nefarious trike smuggling behind it?

Or, you bake a giant hollow cake and conceal the bikes within it.  Cakes are luggage, and therefore allowed on trains.

Mmmmm. Cake-with-bike-in....

I like that idea far too much...

It also gives a handy solution to the age old "what do you do with the bike bag when you get to your destination" problem...   ;D

I'll add you to the list.  That makes fourteen, assuming mrcharly can turn up.  Although thirteen would be an apt number, I think.

We'll make a hell of a sight at the station, even for a Friday night.

Oh dear.

the mask or my singing?

One of these

Foska Bones Vest - Only £25.00 - Rutland Cycling

or similar would go well with the mask ;D

It will be close enough to Halloween for such nonsense to perhaps be "appreciated" dontyathink :)

Guess how many of my friends & family suggested that wearing the mask was an improvement?
