Kings Cross, Cyclist down?
« on: 03 October, 2011, 01:59:10 pm »
The road outside Kings Cross is closed down. Euston rd/Caledonian road. Everything cordoned off, blue tent with a cycle by it, and police crawling all over a rubble truck.

So sad.

And people really ought to think about what they post on Twitter in the event of serious accidents.

deeply saddening.
and to make things worse, the Evening Standard sees fit to say, right near the top of their article, that the cyclist was not wearing a helmet.  So wearing a helmet would have saved her from being run over by the back wheels of an HGV?   ???

The twitterers need to remember that news is spread so quickly these days that they may know all about it before the relatives know anything at all.  It's dodgy enough to publicly report a death so promptly, let alone go into graphic detail.
