One in which the council is bankrupt and desperately trying to cut costs. Also one in which Apollo is unlikely to be able to stand up for himself to ask for one, so with drawing this service may not get much push back unless cycleman is able to.

« Last post by PaulR on Today at 11:50:26 am »Alas I didn't have a camera with me, but as I walked back from our garage with an axe yesterday (the garage is in a different street from our house) I stepped over a trickle of water that runs across the lane most of the winter, possibly because of the number of tiny springs in the small limestone ridge we live on, and spotted some movement. It was a large freshwater shrimp, in the middle of the road.

Soil pipe end is the usual ring seal push fit.

So it's going to have to come out of the soil pipe. Lots of silicone lubricant will be employed. The word is that these often leak if disturbed after many years, so that brings me back to my original question - is there any way to renew the rubber ring seal in these? It's not easy to replace the whole tee due to the bath and basin connections, although there are no further connections above this. People seem to use sealant and/or self-amalgamating tape in the event of leaks - it is all very accessible once the shelf at the bacl of the bath has been ripped out, which it will be.
