Preferably one beside a bakery.  Though in 2015 there was a wee supermarket in Mamers where they heated up pies for us at <can't remember but it was very dark> o'clock in the morning.

Hope everyone has a great ride - especially the first-timers, for whom staring into a bowl of thin 'soup' at the Carhaix control at 3 in the morning will be a new experience to savour.

Ill health prevented me from qualifying in 2019 and GCSE results coming on Thursday ruled out my being absent from home this year, but I sincerely hope to clock up my fourth PBP in 2027, when I suspect I will be among the genuine 'ancients' taking part!
