Title: Recumbent sidestand
Post by: GusGF on 07 October, 2018, 04:40:15 pm
Hi all,
I've got a Challenge Furai and I'd like to fit a sidestand and since I'm unlikely to be able to get one from Challenge as they only answer their emails when they feel like it I'm asking you folk for recommendations. The rear wheel is 24in and I will attach a photo with some measurements later. I'm not bothered about having to drill into the rear dropouts to fit something appropriate if need be. Thanks

Rockbros do a carbon side stand that looks interesting but I've not seen one in the flesh.

Prop stands fitted to rear axle zones should not be trusted  :'(
Other than in the shed or garage or store which is wind and gust free !
Example ....HP Velotech Street machine .....the makers quickly move to a midship mount by using the underslung rack as a mounting position .
Tip .......a front wheel parking brake also helps ....Push button brake lever + velcro strap + inline expander
