Map my ride

I have just recently starting to use map my ride, through an app on my phone.
Some parts of my ride ate on road but some ares on the ride look like I am cycling through a field.
Does this happen to anyone else.what causes it do do that ?

Probably lost connectivity during those sections and it drew a straight line from where it lost connectivity to where it regained it.

I use MMR to log all my activity but it's very quiet and unused in comparison to something like Strava (or Endomondo but I don't use that) - you might get a bit more interesting action on Strava...
