There's probably over 50 socks along a 4 mile stretch, deposited over the last 6 months, or so.  :o

Some sort of laundry vehicle with a sock-sized hole in it?

Maybe the roadkill onions were cold?

Some dubious sexual practice that rogerzilla will be along with an Urbandictionary reference for shortly?

Aliens?

The Luggage?

Marcie would say they were probably just dropped by the binmen, of course.

Mostly quite neatly balled - I haven't investigated if these are pairs balled together, but I think they are...  ???

I did wonder if they had been used for 'enhancement' purposes.  :hand:

Just be careful, WJ: I think kerb-crawling for socks is an offence.

Offshore laundries, they eat socks one at a time.  Eventually they'll get silted into the next oil/gas reservoir in 300m years

New golf ball found on side of road.  Chuck it back on to edge of golf course - ball bounces off tree branch and lands in amongst a load of leaf debris, never to be seen again.   :P

Didn't stop because I probably wouldn't have got going again, but one of those swing-arm dog ball launchers, lying in the middle of the road slightly before the summit of Bwlch y Groes.  A tennis ball was seen in the verge slightly downhill.

Ah! that is the thing. I have finished my current project, so no longer ''commuting'' , but now just ''ramblin' on,'' where ever the road takes me.
