Yep, one of my faves for rhythm is Trampled Underfoot.

But then there is the majesty of Kashmir or the drum fest of In My Time of Dying from the Physical Graffiti album. For me they were the rythym section par excellence.

If you like you're motor racing, this is worth a catch-up on iPlayer.

Thirded.

Fourthed. It's good even if your not a motor racing fan just as the story of some very complex family relationships.

Fifth.
Totally excellent and very moving.

The new BBC Scotland channel will be showing Tutti Frutti from next Saturday - cracking drama from 1987 that brought Robbie Coltrane, Emma Thompson and Richard Wilson to mainstream prominence. I remember it being very good but don't recall any details about it at all.

Fingers crossed they will be using that slot for further repeats of classic Scottish-based TV series - Hamish Macbeth, The Crow Road, Supergran...

I've seen a few sciencey programmes presented by Prof Alice Roberts and generally enjoyed them, so when I  saw that bbc4 were showing something called 'Wild Swimming with Alice Roberts' I thought it odd but maybe worth a look.
Not a sciencey program, but wonderfully enjoyable.

Bound to be on iPlayer now.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

The jury on the Scandinoir Farcebok froup wot I am in is still out on Trapped v2.0.  Half of them reckon it a Rubbish while the ones who are right think it's triff, even if the protagonists are not actually trapped this time.  I watched episodes 1-6 back to back the other day and am engrossed.  The vicar did it.

So: Home the Syrian-Asylum-seeker-stays-with-idiot-Brit comedy

Very very good so far.

(I can't believe anyone didn't enjoy Fleabag S2Ep1. I didn't watch any of S1, but this was nothing like what I'd read. Hope I'm not in for a disappointing rest of the series! Much clevererer and funnier than Killing Eve. The "twist" toward the end was a masterstroke.)

It was a couple of nights ago, but worth a catch-up on iPlayer. Travelling Blind. Brilliant telly, and quite life affirming.

I want to catch up with S1 before starting S2 but haven't got round to it yet.

Watched Fleabag tonight, was good. Also watched Jerk which I think was on the same night, was ok.

Interesting that the lake allegedly being poisoned by the Aluminium smelter seems to be quite a way above the plant. My understanding of toxic waste management is that you pump it downhill into a convenient bit of sea and then blame the deaths on someone else.

Did anyone watch MotherFatherSon? My wife made me sit through it, she seemed to enjoy it, but I thought it was dreadful - boringly slow, lame dialogue, and a bizarre and surprisingly graphic* sex scene, the dramatic function of which was, I'm guessing, to provide an insight into the messed up psyche of the Son, but it was so preposterously bad that I didn't know whether to laugh or cringe. And then it was followed by...

It's from the same writer as London Spy, which I also found ridiculous, but those who enjoyed that might find more merit in MotherFatherSon than I did.

*surprising because this was on the BBC, not HBO

Travelling Blind. BBC 2.
Comedian Sara Pascoe and a blind traveller go on holiday. I'd describe myself as a bit like her, a bit of an anxious traveller. Really good program, he totally got her out of her comfort zone.

Also on a travelling theme: Race Across The World.  Five pairs have their mobile devices taken away from them, and are given limited funds to get from London to Singapore (via a couple of intermediate checkpoints) over land and sea (any means other than flying, really).  Highly entertaining.

“Arcadia”, a montage of found footage. Bonkers and enthralling. Was on BBC4 I think, now on iPlayer.

Saw the trailer for the second episode. I don’t think a hearty guffaw was the effect they were after...
