Does anybody on the forum have an older Trice and could help me by taking a couple of photos - one of the chain pulleys to show their attachment to the frame, and one of the handlebars/trackrod mounts (with a ruler to show their spacing)?
I have foolishly bought a damaged frame to restore...

Can't help, I'm afraid, but would suggest asking on the BHPC forum.

Torslanda has got my old trice at his shop at the moment. It is one of the last one's Peter Ross built before selling the factory to the workforce when he retired. I can tell you that the pulley mount is not strong enough and kept bending and evently aloud the chain come off endangering the cross tube. :)

The workforce ?? …...hmm two people Chris and Neil the founders and directors of ICE who now employ more than twenty workers .
As for the comment about the pulley mount
Probably based on years of B****ing things with the infamous quote heard at many rally meeting over the years ..........."I cann't believe how that happened" ::-)
……..it was made from high tensile steel bolt .....
However .............
The frame tube cracks around the weld zone hence the distorted pulley mount
I have pictures and details of ye old frame details if John would like to message me

Oh! it was you who bought that.
I was going to bid on it but it was too far to collect.
Good luck.

It's more a case of seeing if I can incorporate chain pulley mounts in the repairs I have to do. :-\
I'm still running original pulleys on the Windcheetah. :demon:

Did you restore it WJ? And what became of it?
I was offered a mid-90s Trice a few weeks ago but have just bought an Ice Adventure for not much more money.
But I still have a soft spot for the Trice - it was the first HPV I tried after my local vicar bought one new in 1994.

I think I put photos of rebuilding on the ‘Wobbly Workshop’ thread.
I need to make/buy a cover for the seat - anew style frame rather than the original, and quite a bit of other rebuilding.
I have not been very good at completing projects in the last severals years…

Yeah, I know the problem of not finishing projects. Unfortunately, my Parkinson's affects my hands and some days I find it difficult to hold spanners and stuff.
