That's not quite back to series 1 is it? I thought the male lead there got blown up.

Oh, god, that was harrowing. I'm in floods of tears. Harry Pearce, what a hero.

13 May 2002 - 23 October 2011; thank-you Spooks. That was a gripping finale, and the end of an excellent series.

Though I wouldn't bet too much on them not reappearing...

Brilliant episode, have to try and watch again at 11.05 tonight. Probably won't turn out any different, though.

Yeah, we knew that. The Home Secretary was on the phone to Harry when Harry was in the car, and he said something like "Harry, you said you've outsourced dealing with [that Russian bloke with the beard] to an outside agency so you'd better give me the details, on second thoughts, never mind." So that person was the outside agency.

Well, that was good (though I was disappointed that Erin's footwear wasn't worked into the plot - maybe she could've hurled one of those heels at someone ....).

Watched it again.

I reckon Shakespeare, Le Carre and Hardy would all have been quite pleased with writing that.

(Hamlet/Midsummer Night's Dream/Macbeth rewritten in Spooks style anyone?)

Edit: apparently I'm wrong about the excellent Mr Le Carre.
