I had a rabbit when I was a kid that terrified the neighbourhood cats including a Siamese. It was a huge buck rabbit and quite viscous.

Must have been a sticky problem to deal with  ;D

Just found this. Sorry to hear about the chickens.

Received wisdom around here (heart of the country) is that peeing around your chicken house last thing at night keeps the foxes away.

I don't know if this would deter your urban charlies.

(PS it can be done by using a container in the house and bringing it out to spread around, but it may not be as much fun)
