I think it is right to point out that while no one is forced to stay all evening at the Kings Head, the suggestion being made that there is a exodus off to another pub is not necessarily the case.  Last year, despite a beer crisis, many of us stayed at the Kings Head for the evening.

Still gutted I can't get there but I vaguely recall Velovoy taking us on a tour of rocket fuel craft bottled beer in "Spoons". The audacious snatched triumph from disaster once again.

Kingston Wheeler Audax Chapter will be passing through Henley at approx. 09:30, likely stop in Chocolate Cafe for breakfast (all TBC), I think TG said he may join us there...any others?

Yes.
I dunno where the Chocolate cafe is, but I do know where Wetherspoons is.

We'll be riding from Harpenden. Would love to meet on the way. Tring, Aylesbury or Buzzard would be part way. Or, you could come via here on route (esp if any others from this sort of direction would like meet too)

I'm planning on riding with Bus Shelter Bertie to Henley on Thames to meet with the Kingston Wheelers at around 9-9:30am. Salisbury is 80-90 miles from there, following their planned route (which looks pretty good to me)
Maybe we could meet up in Thame on the way to Henley?

here's our route on RWGPS, a mishmash of various KWAC rides, we look forward to meeting up with TG & Things at Choccy Cafe in Henley around 09:30

I'll be there too. But after my dismal showing on The Winter Boat Ride on Sunday I am taking the direct route from Kingston to Salisbury - no detours to Henley or Amesbury for me.

If I time it right we can all wait at the level crossing at Bramley together!

Unless circumstances have changed don't expect to see The Things. Thing2 said upthread "Oops. We have cancelled our booking as we are not going to be in the country."

What’s your distance at Henley?  And other controls / distance at?

Booked, I will probably join the KW route somewhere around Bramley and spend the next few hours wondering when I will get caught and passed.

Another great Salisbury reunion weekend.  :) Thanks Postie for calling us all here, and once again we were lucky with the weather. Nice to chat with some familiar and new faces. Due to my late arrival, and the fact that we stayed in Spoons to eat, and then adjourned to the historic Haunch of Venison, rather than join the curry group, I didn't meet as many as I would have wished. 350km cycled over the weekend, however.
