Got #1 paper (that I've spent the last couple of weeks totally freaking about) back from my mentor today and it wasn't covered in 100% red pen!

The specialist shop I wanted to get something from this morning (no excitement, it was plum jam but a special sort) was closed - but I got there at exactly the same time as an acquaintance was opening up the bike shop next door, so I got invited in for a cup of tea and a natter. For an hour.  :D

Yes actually, my Mum in law is getting quite better after being a tad to close to the pearly gates for a while   ;D  Actually the general atmosphere in the country (cuts cuts cuts etc) have made an atmosphere of almost complete gloom, I must remember there are some wonderful bits about like the other morning trikling home through the countryside at 04-30 from work a hard frost and the moon peeking through the naked trees and hedgerows, priveliged to be alive (my work mates think I'm bonkers)  ;D
The problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves, and wiser men so full of doubt.

The hard drive that failed inb my Drobo a couple of weeks ago is being replaced and is winging it's way back to me now.

This is very good news as I will be back to having some kind of resilience on the Drobo (they don't shut down the array, they migrate the data so you still have your LUNs, just no resilience)

Drive replaced under Seagate's warranty, replacement on it's way to me, should be here in a few hours.

Surely that's the 6th? I guess you're using an Orthodox calendar which must be different. Enjoy the parcel anyway!

Julian calendar, off by 13 days.  Celebrating Christmas late is great - we get all the post-Xmas 'clearance' deals in time for our celebrations.  :smug:

I managed to capture Kai at the first go, when I was prepared to spend up to 24 hours trying to get him to reappear.

It's not such good news for him, since he'll be off to the cattery shortly, with Zev. :)
Actually, it is rocket science.
