I haven't got glaucoma after all.

... and 364 days later I still haven't.

Another year gone, and still no sign of glaucoma. The doctor I saw said that next year they might discharge me and leave the testing to  an optician.
After the is-it-or-isn't-it glaucoma of 2013 (it is) and 2014 (it isn't despite what we said last year), back to normal "all clear and see you next year" yesterday.

I just bumped into my former colleague Ben.  He's so lovely.  He just had a baby so he isn't riding his bike as much as he used to, but it was great to have a two minute catch-up in the hospital corridor.

I've worked with so many fantastic people in my career.  He's one of them.  A great loss to the NHS when he sold his soul to Mammon for the sake of a better life for himself and his family.

We spent a whole day proofing the damned thing. The deadline was today so this wasn't a last minute thing.  I am very glad I didn't go for an extension like many coursemates, I didn't want it to drag on.

Well done  :)

Dad's getting transferred back from Hull.  That will make visiting a lot easier.  I'm very relieved that I won't have to see the A63 again, except in its V718 guise.

Mrs. B has just come back from the hair dressers and I remembered to notice.
Made all the right noises and everything.

Well done me.

Just heard that a mate with severe kidney problems is going to have a transplant. His lovely sister is going to donate one of hers. What a New Year's gift for him and a gift of life from her.

I haven't cycle trained for nearly four years, but today I got a text from a trainee asking me to teach her son as he needs some road skills. So I must have done something "right" since she remembered me :)
