What hopefully free package does the panel recommend for video editing. Short clip shot on my mobile phone in a dingy bar, someone stood blocking the light that was artistically fslling on the performer. All I want to do is lighten her face a bit. Is such a thing possible? Ubuntu package preferred, vcsn also do stuff on an android tablet.

I like kdenlive the best. Lots of options and image/time manipulation, etc. Current version is quite stable.
