Here in Rochdale, we've had about two dry days in June, so far and today the rain and wind have been incessant and the River at the bottom of our street is about 3 feet higher than usual.  It's very impressive - but I'm fed up.  This picture from our hols. cheers me up; I hope it does you!

Thanks!   I'm not a photographer in the sense that you are.  I just have a cheap digital point-and-shoot thing, so for me it's more a question of getting a good or at least interesting composition.  Not that you don't of course!  But your reproductions have a sharpness which reflects both your equipment and your skill!
