Dumb question, carrying a jet wash on a bicycle
« on: 27 May, 2022, 01:43:58 pm »
Any advice, although its probably a dumb idea.

I am trying to get a jet wash to my mothers (and then back to mine). Its heavy and big. Could I try and carry it on my rack or I am best taking the train?

thanks

Sam

How big is it? how heavy?

You are the best person to make that decision.

I expect attaching it securely it would be a bigger problem than the weight.  Though if it's really heavy, simply getting it into place may be the real challenge.  Perhaps you could molish some sort of platform for it...

It's a trailer job, really.

Or an excuse to buy a portable pressure washer.

Local guy here has a cycle based bin cleaning business. He carries his jet washer and associated bits on a trailer.

The size of two cases which meet the size limits for carry-on baggage on major airlines, viz 55 x 45 X 25cm (ish) each.

Useful enough for you?

Much more useful. I've made one flight in the last 15+ years. And have no idea what the size restrictions are for luggage these days.

I think a trailer is best, cycle paths are bumpy around here.

So the next best option is public transport!
