Recently I have been listening to Johnny Cash albums, and I came across American IV, which has a few covers on it, the ones that stand out for me are the covers of Hurt (NIN) and Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode).

Mine too, I would like to add Rammstein's cover of "Stripped"

Gravelands by The King, whilst not in the top musical echelons, is worth a listen for its comedy value. It's an album of cover versions of dead artists' songs sung in the style of Elvis Presley.

Calling all elderly goths - how about:
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A Man After Midnight): The Sisters of Mercy

and the rather more faithful Ziggy Stardust: Bauhaus.

The B52's did a cover of Downtown, and Green Day did too I think.

A friend came round for tea tonight and we were watching my Live Aid dvds which inspired me to add to this thread Bryan Ferry's Jealous Guy.
