I’m exhausted just watching this match!

There’s been more action in the first half than there was in the entire England vs Italy U20 match that I went to last night.
It is simpler than it looks.

At ½ time I was wondering if I was going to see a team awarded 2 points.
4 trys and a losing bonus.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

That was a stonking game. I do see a lot of line out practice in the Irish pack’s future though  ;D

The table looks 'interesting' at the moment. Now should Italy win tomorrow, Wales v England for the wooden spoon?

Amusing as that would be, England is the only team in the Six Nations that Italy has never beaten.

Yebbut Finn Russell is South African.

You are presumably referring to this:-

I agree, fd3.  It was a very good try from a beautifully balanced player.  I think he genuinely beat two of the non-tacklers by pace and swerve, though the last one, no 6 or 8(?), didn't seem aware that you have to go round the legs to stop someone that big going that fast.  He may well have realised he could get badly hurt.

It was a very exciting game and a good win for South Africa 2nds.

Very happy to have caught you on your non-funny bone.  Russell is a Scot (and a superb one).  But W Nel isn't and became the 4th Saffer in the Scottish side by the end, I think.  It doesn't bother me in the least but I think it does partly explain Scotland's resurgence.  They needed new blood and it obviously wasn't going to come from Scotland.  They have played very well since seeing the light.  I just love to see good rugby and am wondering how long before Wales start looking around.  Mind you, after they scrape a win against England, they may decide their troubles are over.  I'm looking forward to the Italy game this afternoon but am irritated that England have dropped their only truly artistic player (Smith) in order to accommodate Farrell, the world's most boring fly-half.  Smith's kick for England's try last weekend was worthy of Finn Russell.

The Italian pack are not the team they were and there’s no guarantee that they’ll lose just at the moment.

Just an additional observation. Is it an intentional aspect of the England shirt design that they look like they’ve got blood runs all over them?

And the blood seems to defy gravity!

Farrell having a pretty good game, as I speak (this is normal for my punditry).

South Africa Scotland did well against Wales yesterday...  ;)   Scotland v Ireland will be interesting.  At least England managed a bonus pt against Italy.

I see that England dedicated today's game to the late Charlie Faulkner*, who died last week aged 81.

It's the U20 6 Nations...

Forgot I had these. It was an interesting match. Italy played well, but weren't able to overcome England, but gave them some scares.

Several interesting things, it was an error strewn match, which given these are potentially the upcoming senior players. It was a plastic pitch.
It is simpler than it looks.

Blimus, they’re not messing about when it comes to dangerous tackles, but I agree they’ve got to stop the players from shoulder barging at head height.

If they get down to 13 a side do they have to change the rules to the Northern discipline?
