Ubuntu picasa web albums unavailable
« on: 03 October, 2011, 01:20:38 pm »
Any one else been struck by the "web albums  are temporarily unavailable" error when trying to upload using Picasa on a ubuntu or other *nix machine?

A quick scan of relevant forums suggests it's something broken at Google's end, with the fave fix being to install a more upto date Windows version of Picasa and run it under Wine. I believe the ubuntu version runs under Wine anyway, just behind the scenes.

Any other top tips for uploading my snaps of Jurek's tour de Kent?

Yup I had that too and couldn't find a fix.

So I'm running the Windows version (3.8 which is never and more up to date ) under wine without any problems. It picked up the older folders and which were uploaded or not without any problems.
