Anyone know why this year's fun-filled-festival of cake has been cancelled?

here is the official response :)
Just to clarify things for next year. Barry Jaeger was a surprisingly suspicious man and would never walk beneath a ladder or eat 13 cakes. He was particularly suspicious of any year that fell as a new decade and a leap year and spent much of the year 2000 locked in his panic room with nothing but a turbo trainer and a tomato plant. To mark this unusual and perhaps ill-founded trait we won't be running the Ball Buster, Bash or Blast next year. However as a slight concession to the great man's peculiarity the 300km Jaeger Bomb will take place on 12th September with entries opening on 1st January at www.audax.lvis.org.uk.
