Title: clippings from old magazines
Post by: DrMekon on 23 March, 2017, 12:48:14 pm
My new local cafe is a joy - http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/typefaces-teacups-and-terrovision-1-8375449/amp

They have a strava group, plans to arrange evening rides, a bike hanging from the rafters, and if you are into printing, loads of bike blocks for making bike related prints. Additionally, Tony has left piles of old cycling mags around. Leafing through Feb 20th 1986 Cycling I found this, with mention of our own Frankly Frankie.

Recommended if you are passing through Otley.

It was a 1986 "Parry Westwood" article in Cycling Weekly (but later in the year) which got me interested in audax. Only many years later did I twig that PW was a pseudonym, and a very fitting one.
