...and not in some sort of exotic pancake.

Clicky.

Is it really wrong that in between feeling very sorry for the dog, I laughed a little bit too?  :-[

Poor dog!

I have a springer here.  I didn't laugh.  Then again I've laughed at FAR worse :P

*shudder*

I didn't laugh, but then I'm an *extremely* doggy person and I think I'm probably a bit too good at empathising with the poor dog....ouch!

There have also been at least two cases of dogs' tongues being dragged into shredders. One survived but the other was put to sleep and the description in the veterinary press was really horrific.

Oh, that's horrific.  :o

The end of an ear - with the dog's outraged expression - I can see the funny side of.  But not tongues.  *wince*

I'm sure someone's been daft enough to have done it on ModBlog (though not to a dog)

Dreadlock ears?

It's just as well The Kennel Club have banned tail docking.
It is simpler than it looks.

What's really wrong is that you've been looking at the Daily Wail!

You're not a judge yet!
Won't somebody think of the hamsters!

Oh dear! Yes, I confess to laughing. Poor thing.

Dogs always look embarrassed/sad with a cone on their head, but this chap manages to look REALLY pitiful in that first picture.

Has there even been such a well-photographed minor injury to a family pet?

Still, he'll be fine in no time (I'd heard spaniels were prone to ear problems - is this what they meant?)
