« on: 21 October, 2017, 10:10:37 am »
I will be sending out all routesheets/GPS/Information etc for this event today so if you have entered already and don't receive yours let me know. There are still spaces for more entries and it would help me if anyone still wishing to enter can do so soon as possible as we have bigger than usual numbers this year with the event being listed in Cycling Weeklies top ten audax events to ride for the year.Scroll down to November on this link to see their review of our event.........

Yes indeed it is.

Our event in November gives a misty autumn view of the lovely Ettrick valley heading up to Eskdalemuir on the way to the first control of our event.

Nice picture of the Snow Roads at the top of that article.

On reflection, it's the approach road to the Cairngorm Ski Centre, I don't think that featured on the Snow Roads. So it stands in well for Yad Moss, also a ski resort.

I want to ride it, but I'd need a lift up and then even though I'm "200 fit", I'm not "200 riding at another persons speed fit". Hmm...

Hope you can make it D.A.L.E. and find a lift that is a suitable pace for a relaxed day.

I was going to do this but my wife's away with work and apparently leaving the kids in Gala Mackie Ds all day isn't an appropriate child care arrangement  :(

Are there any restrictions to leaving one's bike in a paid for room (for security reasons)?

I'm assuming they are ok with bikes in rooms as several of our riders have ridden up the day before events and home the day after events so bikes would have been safely stored.

I'd love to come up to do this after the splendid Moffat Toffee/Broughton weekend, but life appears to be getting in the way...all the best for a good event megajoules.
Think it possible that you may be mistaken.

Last call for entries either for the 200k or 116km before I make up the startlist and order food etc. Weather fairy for next weekend is looking fairly kindly and there should be some good firework displays to see on the run home. Looks like with a record field this year it should be a great day out. Just a few cards left so any takers before I slowly close the door? :)

Bairn Again
