For athletic rides, I'd rather something that kept me awake even more than my insomnia does.

It's a real bummer at 04:00 in the morning after a couple of hundred miles when the dozies kick in.  



Mind you, a gym mat in a drafty scout hut gives a great hour's sleep for recovery :thumbsup:  I can ride on all day after that.
