Two Hundred Sit-ups

There's an iPhone app for this too - cover me, I'm going in.

I've done the initial test.  20.  Which is poor.  I'm sure that'll improve, though.

Week 1 Col Day 1 Col 2 coming up next week I guess...

I notice that website says you should do crunches/curl-ups instead of sit-ups, because sit-ups risk damaging your spine etc: two hundred sit-ups
More details of the risks: Sit-up (exercise) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So why's the website called "Two hundred sit-ups"?

Probably because people won't google for crunches.

Google for Crunchies.

You know it makes sense.
It is simpler than it looks.

In my 20's I used to do 3 sets of 200 sit-ups

...then moved on to doing fewer reps but on an inclined bench

...with weights held on my shoulders.  :o

It didn't make me much fitter - just more able to do sit-ups  ::-)
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...

...
I've always suspected that a conventional sit-up, done in a controlled fashion, straight spine*, is completely harmless.

Not that there's any harm in a better-safe-than-sorry approach ...

Well I have been tying to do 300 once a day with an ab cruncher.

100 straight and then another 100 with my legs turned to the left  and right in an attempt to work the left and right stomache muscles.  I also try and do it with a wieghtt to build some muscles up.
