Nicked from today's Evening Standard:

Sign advising passengers to carry water at all times in flooded Ruislip Manor Station.

Strange...

"overhaul" it, or you can ride it.  (Jerome K Jerome)

There was an Indian restaurant near us in Brum that the kids, when they were small, used to call the Balti Bizarre.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

One for the Spelling that makes me cringe thread.

Meanwhile:

not to mention a hard hat, ear protectors, a dust mask and a condom.  The wretched thing is a whole 20 cm long and is used - very gently - for flush-cutting things like protruding dowels.

The thought crossed my mind, too.  It's a bit fine-toothed for that, though.

Not silly, just puzzling that there should be demand for Orthodox prayers in Welsh and German. I wasn't aware those countries had notable Orthodox communities, but evidently they're large enough for some to find their way to Bristol. But then, there's an Indian Orthodox Church (rather different sort of Orthodox I expect) in Pilning, a not particularly large village near the Severn Bridge.

Probably not that different.

Went to a Russian Orthodox wedding in Bristol once. Wonderful occasion. I assume at the same place.

I've occasionally seen what I assume to be an Orthodox type chappie in Llandysul, I don't think he lives here, but it must be nearby.  As the Teifi valley is very Welsh speaking, I guess Orthodox in Cymraeg is a thing.

It would appear that Fr. Vladimir is local.

I thought it might have been someone I was occasionally in contact with, but he is elsewhere in Cymru.
