First year I've had a real tree. Adorned with 'warm' LEDs. Tres Pretty.

We have one of these to go with our nativity.

It is simpler than it looks.

How much does it cost to give your tree a CAT Scan?

I got a Christmas tree, I don't normally bother as I live on my own, but you have to get in to the mood of it all

We made our way via various icy paths and tracks to the local PYO Christmas Tree Farm.

Supervisor remarks to helper - "don't offer to carry it to his car, he probably lives in Dundee or Perth..."
All the lads were snapping pics on their phones or cameras..

Anyhow, the first part home is uphill - not too bad, I didn't even need the granny ring.

Then through the woodland. Does it look suspicious heading out of the council woods with a tree strapped to the back of your bike?

A stop by the ponds - the ice was *not* tested..

Some of the storm damage had been cleared, but some trees were still down.

Home and happy, despite a minor spill on an icy path in Camperdown Park. We stuck to the road after that - nearly 10yo doing a good job in traffic.

That's fab :)

EldestCub decorated his other Auntie's tree, round at Granny and Grandad's house.

And then we went and bought ours, which will probably get done tomorrow.  If I can work out where to keep the mtb and trailerbike to make space for it....

This photo especially makes me quite nostalgic for the Polish forest round FiL's place. Only the logged trees look different - darker, I'm not sure if they are a different species (most there are Scots pine, spruce and larch) or perhaps they have been stored there for longer - in Poland they are normally felled in late summer and carted off pretty quickly.

  for the whole expedition.

We had two small children to look after yesterday morning. They put the tree up and made us smile.

We haven't bothered and I doubt if the other two will have the appetite for a tree because it's a PITA. Our grand-daughter won't be coming here over Christmas - we will be going there on Boxing Day - but if she were I'd make some effort.

A splendid effort by David Martin. Your son's coat makes it look as though it's snowing.
