Actually, a more accurate expression would be:

Nexus 7 + confined space (rucksack) + bottle of shower gel wrapped in a plastic bag to prevent accidental leakage = £236

If it had been doused in water I'd be more confident of a successful resurrection ... on the plus side, both the buggered fondleslab and the inside of my backpack are very clean and smell faintly of apples.

A replacement has been ordered - the one time I'm actually glad there's a big Te$co just up the road.

We have two sets of car keys: the bear keyring one, and the "Ian keyring" set.

Two days ago my good lady asked if I had seen the bear. No I replied: "It will be around somewhere." However, after a quick look, we couldn't find it. Nevermind eh, it will turn up.

This morning the need to head out in the car arose: we had run out of prawns for the cats breakfast and were running low on beef for the same purpose along with a few heavy bits like cat litter and bottles of pop. No worries, I'll just drive down to the shops using the "Ian" set.

Can I find the "Ian" keyring? Nope; nor the already missing bear set! I have checked EVERYWHERE I can think of but they are still missing. Sigh.

Looks like I will have to cook some chicken for the cats breakfast instead. They won't be happy.

I usually find keys months later (at the change in season) when I put on the coat/fleece/body warmer last worn when it was cold.
