Really curious as to how it learns vocab because in a couple of sentences it's inserted a random and completely spurious "fuck".

Suffice to say there is a person but he (cos it is a he) isn't called Kim and his brother's name isn't even mentioned.

There was a time when MS Word's spelling-checker would flag a misspelt 'fuck' but wouldn't suggest the correct spelling.

Firefox's, OTOH, flags 'fuck' because of the quotes and suggests that it should be 'fuckwad'.

Ain't that what they call language in evolution?

That moment when you suddenly feel the weight of your head pressing your face into the pillow and you realise that you haven’t gone to sleep yet. You know that from now on sleep will evade you as you try and get to empty your mind of everything. Yeah that.  :(

Yes, sleep has been very difficult over the last few days, to the tent that I'm actually looking forward to Indonesia next week, for the air con.

Some wretched child in the neighbourhood is playing a shoot-em-up video game with the sound turned up to 11.

The only decent video game music I have ever heard was in Phantasmagoria (1995) and this ain't it.

7:15 was my woken time, so probably about 2 ½ hours in the end. It could have been worse. The challenge now is not to snooze or nap today so I don’t have a repeat tonight. Strangely though, yesterday was totally nap free because I was quite busy. I’m not old, so I really should get out of the habit of napping in the afternoon.

Our 50th wedding anniversary is impending and, this being a small village, M. le Maire* sent a minion to ask if we wished our photo in the village mag, being officially attapersoned.  Missus immediately said yes!!! and an appointment was set for this evening.  Now she's buzzing round like a blue-arsed fly dusting, polishing and shooing the poor bloody dogs from pillar to post and don't pee on it.  I have been enjoined to bear a hand, e.g. in removing the defunct microwave from the chest in the hall where it has been perfectly OK for the last two years and in putting up the regulation smoke alarm the Law sez we have to have, all winken and blinken to gladden the mayoral peepers.  Arguments such as "I think the microwave's quaint" and "it wasn't me who invited the fucker" are as an old fart (me) in the hurricane.

Have just finished picking plaster out of my hair and shirt-collar, and already I hear the approach of the Deadly Duster of Doom. I must fly... tell them I died bravely.

P.S. I banged my head putting the microwave in the car boot. I'm going to tell the Mayor she hit me.

I've preemptively informed barakta that any congratulatory mayoral visits will only be permitted if performed by that M. le Maire, who I'm reasonably sure isn't too fussed about dusting, polishing, defunct anbaric equipment, blinkenlights and so on.

shoe laces

SPD shoes - 5 holes, 6-8 hole shoe laces, shorter than the broke one
Smart ankle boots, 6 holes. Laces broke, pair 1 - Boot laces, long enough to have people warn me of untied laces. Pair two, same length as the pair above, not a cat in hell's chance of fitting

That's £1.60 I'll never see again and a market trader I'll steer clear of.  Teach me not to take the shoes with me next time.  >:(
