5D for Video?
« on: 10 September, 2009, 02:27:05 pm »
Lately there seems to be an awful lot of people shooting shorts and music videos on the Canon 5d. I find that really weird, is it just because of the price or because of the interchangeable lens being affordable?

Anyway's here's a short done by a friend of mine, shot on a 5d MII. It looks very good infact.

You must need very special glasses for 5D.

depth of field, I recon.  Using a 50mm 1.0 (like they did) gives you about 1" in focus and lovely backgrounds.. Gawd knows what that'd cost with normal video kit?

The last lense I used was £80k but it was a nice pro level one.
