In a nutshell, this violin was looted by the Nazis from the Warsaw museum. Now, 78 years later, an instrument that seems to match the Lauterbach violin is being examined by Parisian experts to establish whether it is the same one.

Jolly exciting - if you are into old violins. And who isn't?
