A thought: an Arrow Pubinar soon? Something to consider in the next few weeks ... at the usual well-located venue The Battesford Court and in consideration of those who have Brexit Vouchers to use up? [To confirm, I won't be out this Wednesday evening.]

A winter group perm has also been mentioned recently, maybe a multi-arrow-team ride? Horsepower Helpers' Ride will be coming up in about six weeks too.

We are also not far off the 12 week rail ticket buying window.

There was talk of an Alternative Arrow on Saturday - ie Huntingdon.

Oh YES!!  An arrow to Huntingdon, obviously to get there before The Spread Eagle Happy Hour ends because it would be rude not to, then train assist around East Anglia home
(Hopefully not on a cold, wet & windy day but that did kind of add to the charm of the final destination for recovery.)

A quick auto-route on RWGPS suggests around 100km going via Cambridge... https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31748952

Sounds good. Good Friday?

I'd certainly prefer closer to teh start of the weekend as I would still want to take advantage of heading North for family...

I’m not saying I’m in, just exploring possibilities.

Yes probably. I’ll be up for the plan but bail at the last moment for something spurious like cheese and wine

Anyhow enough of this tomfoolery, please can you get over to the MEMWNS thread and comment on the jersey designs I’ve posted.

There are rooms available at the 'Spoons residence at the moment.  Not sure about bike storage as the rooms look a bit better than IBIS budget.

A morning start from Witham following the classic 2018 route with lunch in Hertford might work.  It was a fairly involved train journey but we could take provisions...

ACME Audax plans for the spring? Here's mine:

16th Feb: Brazier's Run 100, no ECE, just a few miles to/from the start.

22nd Feb: Chiltern Grit 100, + 100km ECE back home afterwards.

7th Mar: Horsepower 200, Helpers' Ride.

22nd Mar: Pork Pie 200, + 50km ECE to/from.

29th Mar: Stevenage Start of Summertime 200, + 50km ECE to/from.

Might be up to a 400km Easter Arrow after all that ...

I need to ride the Horsepower on the day this year as there's a Kent ride the weekend before. I'll be looking at ECE options on the Horsepower, but it'll be a challenge given the 7am start.

22nd Mar - Pork Pie 200 + ECE - that's my plan also, which is what I managed last year

29th Mar - Summertime 200 + ECE - that is also my plan

No Easter Arrow for me this year, as I'm riding a 600km off-road event up north over that weekend.

Eddington: 133 miles    Max square: 43x43

Was mooted a few weeks ago - distinct lack of enthusiasm! BFC is up for a fixed Arrow I know, but happy to mix things up if there's just the one ACME Team. I'd like to get route planning done and entries off by early March - so a Wednesday evening soon???

Team Huggy are planning to ride the classic 2018 route.

Obviously this will mean the ride will finish at the Falcon in Huntingdon during happy hour on Friday evening before a relaxing train-assisted journey home to Mid-Essex

The Strangler and Fandango have expressed an interest in joining the team and with no limits on numbers for an alternative arrow, all are welcome.

Will have to pick up the pace or not spend quite so long in Witham & Hitchin 'spoons if we're going to make happy hour at the Falcon
