The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner

Somehow I've never managed to see the whole thing before, but I enjoyed it.  (They don't make films like that anymore :D )

Two surprises....

1.  How badly actors in the 60's ran

2.  5 miles is a long distance :o

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, I was very very tired but still was gripped enough to stay awake all the way through it.

Toy Story 3 (in Glorious Retro 2-Dee !)

Great entertainment, again. No.2 is still my favourite, and I think with Andy off to college they really ought to let this thing die on a high note!

(They're in danger of letting the CGI take over from the characterisation - too many photo-realistic but dull kids.)

Raiders of the Lost Ark

My (approx.) 15th time of seeing it, but my seven year old son's 1st.  He loved it - he loves films where the baddies are the Nazis.

"The Core" on Channel 4 at the moment.

All persons involved in the making of this turd - cast, crew, the studio execs - should be rounded up and publicly flogged.

Inception. Loved it. We also discovered during the movie that our old college library and its oldest lecture theatre were used as locations, cue animated discussions in the cinema about which exact staircase they were filming at.

"In The Electric Mist"

We watched it by accident and were glad we did.  Tommy Lee Jones on form.

The Wolfman (2009) Bloody awful! The transformation effects were great.
Acting wooden. the cast should be shot!

Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, which is still on iPlayer, and available for a couple more days.

A quite amusing take on time travel, and fairly rigorous about it, so not too many stupid exceptions to buggering about with time, really just one and that was necessary for the story.

... oh and it's got Anna Faris in it.

If you do watch it, continue to watch the credits all the way through. ;D

Yesterday I watched "Get him to the Greek"

It was pretty funny in parts, but was nowhere near as good as all the hype around the film suggests. Enjoyable, but not that great.....
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Restless Natives.  Always a joy to rewatch, partly for the fabulous Highland scenery, partly for the gentle comedy and partly for the Big Country soundtrack.  Full of win.

Knight and Day. Everythign I expected but funnier and sillier. Sit back, add plenty of suspension of disbelief and bubble along with it.

Err, No. That's vampires!!

Shot with a silver bullet would be more suitable (also applies to vampires in wolf form)

Legion.

A load of hilarious wank but highly entertaining hilarious wank that they have clearly put a lot of time and effort into, I liked it for the same reason I keep rewatching Dune.
