The Abbys (again) which is a great film, followed by The Devil Wears Prada- another good film.

A swashbuckling tale of mediaeval church wars?  ;D
It is simpler than it looks.

Bitten - last night on TV.

Not a very good film but Erica Cox who plays the vampire - oh my !
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Terminator Salvation.  Not very good, but way better than The Abyss, which I watched on Saturday.  How to make a seventy million dollar movie look like $3.98.  Before that was Assault On Precinct 13 - the John Carpenter one, not the pointless remake.  How to make a good film on a budget which wouldn't pay the catering bill on a modern production.

Ae Fond Kiss was on late last night and was a very funny, moving story of a muslim lad and catholic girl. Some extremely fruity bits.

The Kite Runner.  Mrs Zep liked it a lot, but I thought it predictable American propaganda.

Blokey comedy type weekend.

I Love You Man.  Best summarised as a chickflick with balls.  Worth having on in the background, but a little bit forgettable.

40 Year Old Virgin.  I've only ever caught bits of it on ITV2 and the like, always flicking over to something else.  Watched it on Blu Ray, based on a recommendation.  Laughed out loud.  Good way to spend a lazy Sunday.

"tell no one" on bbc4 last night. One of the best films we've seen, very good indeed.  In French with subtitles but had Kristen Scott Thomas, so on balance, a win.

2010 (again).  Nothing like 2001, and Helen Mirren is a very unconvincing Russian, but the effects are very good and Chandra's final scene with HAL9000 is excellent.

Naked Guns 1 and 2 back to back.

I like to have my laughter muscles exercised.

Bit sad how much of the dialogue I know.  ::-)
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Last of the Mohicans.

Never seen it before. Started out promising a bit of depth, but rapidly became just an action movie.  Epic fight sequence near the end.

The Spy Who Loved Me on telly.  Possibly the most representative Bond film, if not the best.

Snow?  Check.
Underwater action? Check.
Amazing gadgets? You can't beat an amphibious Lotus Esprit.
Nukes? Check.
Mad foreign villain? Check.
Sexual innuendo?  I think this trumps all the other films.
Rampant sexism? A whole scene on women drivers, as well as the usual cleavages and bums.
Stock Bond drinking game phrases?  Oh yes.  Even "I've been expecting you" and "Goodbye, Meester Bond" which are normally Blofeld's motif.
Nasty 70s suits and flares? Unsurpassed.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Were there blatant helichopters?  You can't have a Bond James Bond fil without blatant helichopters.

I've seen it too many times, but still a great film...

The King's Speech.  Very good, although Michael Gambon should have held out for the apocryphal "Bugger Bognor!" line.

It was rubbish. Nowhere near as good as "Despicable Me".

Can't watch the megamind trailers without thinking of a classic:
