Paris-Roubaix - what a race! Edge of the seat stuff especially at the end when Fabian was having a barney, and Von Summeren hanging on by the skin of his teeth.

Poor lads though - cuts, bruises and broken bones all round.

Apparently Von Summeren rode the last 5km with a gradually flattening rear tyre.  But he was head and shoulders above everyone else.

Another epic evening of armchair cycling   Shame that Cancellara got out manoeuvred again.  And a disaster for Boonen.  :(

Thomas was in the wars as well.

Nice win for Van Summeren, but once again a massive show of strength from FB, right down to the sprint for second which he took sitting in the saddle!

Amstel, Fleche Wallone and Liege-Bastogne - Liege to come. Great times!

Just watching it now, Hask and Husvod treated Cancellera like shit didn't they?

No wonder he ripped their legs off....

Exactly. They could've borrowed a trick from Audaxing, and pressed on while he was in the bog!

Interesting blog written by Cervelo designer Gerard Vroomen before Flanders and Roubaix.
Sums up exactly what happened to FabC.

I thought Tom Boonen was exceedingly unlucky too, having not one but two mechanicals (ok one was caused by a crash, but still)

I guess most riders could have pointed to multiple instances of bad luck.  I seem to remember a couple of Cancellara's surges being baulked by a camera motorbike.  Leukemans seems to have fared worse that most - 3 crashes, 3 punctures, and thrice caught behind crashes.

Nice arty b&w film <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/3QSpuhIQg1A&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/3QSpuhIQg1A&rel=1</a>.

Even more rubbish than that - two seconds and a third.
