Credit Lyonnais are the yellow jersey sponsors, the lion toy is awarded to the yellow jersey holder each day and of course the French word for lion is lyon isn't it ? Absolutely nothing to do with the Lion King.

Jason Quelly used to advertised Start after his 1km medal. The Start promotions were long after R. Millars KOM and long before D. Millar wore it.

In that case I stand corrected. I didn't get into professional racing until  1987
