Can you imagine a Wiggo/Cav press conference after the tour?

Very entertaining.

I always think it's nice when you see foreigners speaking English well - particularly sportsmen as they're not all known for their intellect. Even footballers can do it.

So it's nice to hear Brad speaking French so fluently and able to joke with the journalists. I've heard him do a press conference in French before but it was at the launch of something rather than post-race so it was a little more formal and the questions a little more predictable.

I've also seen Cav giving live TV interviews in Italian too.

Journalists don't need to ask any questions.  They've all tapped his phone.

There's something inherently funny about the juxtaposition of certain accents (I was at a school where a lot of odd saarf Larndon french got spoke) - I can imagine Cav speaking Italian being one of them.

(See also: Julio Geordio on the Fast Show)

But yeah, hats off to Brad for his lingualistics.

Bradley had five years on French teams, FdJ, Credit Agricole and Cofidis. I can remember him turning up at the Southport 10 in Credit Agricole and Cofidis tops. So I'd expect his French to be pretty good.

I've also seen him marshal, to allow his wife to get get her first 10 in following the birth of their second child. He's been around a long time, his first team was the Linda Mc Cartney squad in 2001.

And not forgetting the fact that he's actually Belgian. ;)

Half Belgian, half Australian.

And half British.
