Steve's clearly woken refreshed! After all, look at his speed shortly after this morning's start (mile 223-ish)

Problem with a garmin - could lose those miles if the back up does not validate it as actually ridden .

Yesterday Steve mentioned that he had 3 different Garmins on board and he has 24 hours to submit each day's ride. I assume Steve has been phoning members of his support crew. Some forensic work this morning/ afternoon might save the day. What assistance might be needed today?

My impression is that we are OK - there were a lot of team e-mails hurtling around a couple of hours ago

Having just ridden a mere 8km into today's block 40kph westerly, I'd say Steve's biggest need is a couple of Chris Hoys to hide behind! He's going to earn his miles today  :o.

I see he is in Tewkesbury. Jane and I had lunch there after some COR in July 2013.

I've ridden to Tewkesbury.

And eaten/drunk in the Hop Pole.

I've also done the same to/in Milton Keynes.

Do I get a badge? ;)

Are you sure? It looks like they've just turned on the tracker for testing to me. Unless you know otherwise ...

No. It's Gloucestershire. No badges, just badgers.
