On the Audax UK  shop on Force GB. Jerseys come in a variety of colours! Is there any significance in those colours?
Are they a reflection of the type of Audax rider you are, or they just choice?

if you get the red shirt you are more likely to be picked off by hostile natives. ;)

Rider choice, in the main, though the colours reflect the various brevet distances.

Question is, should you wear the jersey if you haven't done the ride?
Eddington Number = 132

Should you be allowed to do the ride if you haven't bought the jersey?

So if the colours reflect the length of Audax you have ridden. Which colour for each distance applies?
And why would wearing Red cause ire in the natives ??

I think they were trying to be humorous

You can choose your favourite colour

Although if you wear red you stand a greater chance of being gored by a bull at 3am when you thought you found a nice quiet field to have a rest in!

Yellow is for Tour de France winners. And cowards.
Pink is for Giro leaders. And girocheque cashers.
Black is for anarchists. And priests.
White is for people who like laundry.

Red is faster
black if you want to move thru the night like a ninja
isn't black meant to make you look slimmer?

And if you like attracting insects!

To be fair, the flies that follow you around aren't necessarily attracted by the colour of your jersey  ;D

Always wear the jersey colour that corresponds to the distance you are riding, as that way your brevet card also matches.

Me neither. I just thought they were random colours. Every day is a school day.

I'd go for a green one Cycletrekker. It'll look smart on club runs too. ;)

to be fair my humour has always been the same even before I discovered the one true path of Audax.

I thought redshirt was a fairly widely used term. Obvious it's just the circles I move in.

I'm sure if you google you'll find many threads about AUK jerseys on here; including the British Racing Green version (hmmm)

don't click on the Kate Moss one...

My first thought was genius, but I often have trouble finding my brevet card and camouflaging it cannot possibly help.
