How are our plans going to achieve 40 points in Auk's 40th year?
I already have two points.
*ulp*
Besides, it wouldn't be audacious if success were guaranteed.

21 so far, might end up coming close with family stuff and other real life bits.

Plan is to hit 40 by end of June. Then I'll see if I can eek it out to 50, being 50 this year.

audax year, so to end-September. Unfortunately.

(at least, I think so.)

July for me, I think.

The advantage of doing RRTY plus an SR is that I'm already in for 31 points for the season.  And since I'm going for my fourth Essex SR then any 300+ rides outside Essex will have to be replicated within Tomsk's domain, so almost certainly more  ;)
Lockdown lethargy. RRTY: wot's that? Can't remember if I'm on #8 or #9 ...

I have done the zeros in this equation and found it very easy.  Also having a lot of fun!

20 at the moment, hopefully 22 by tomorrow but suffering a cold....  :-\

Year on year I had 20 last year by end of April and 40 at end of the year, so going to plan.

For me though it's 40@40@40!  ;D

Unlikely to get 40 points, but if I do all the rides I've planned I'll get 40 AAA points.  Cambrian 3B = 4.75, Cambrian 8A = 13.75, Tan Hill 600 = 7.75 and if I get the Mille de Sud ratified that would be 14 = 40.25 from an SR series

Now that Paul Stewart has returned from his Spring Sabbatical, I have the 4s. Perhaps we could share a badge?

Still waiting for Mr O'Tea to validate 8 of my points but I've got 18 already on the record so getting to 40 not really in doubt (would have been even less in doubt had I got round to claiming for 3 x 200s back in Nov & Dec, but sometimes it's nice just to spontaneously ride the bike without worrying about receipts / GPX files).
Eddington Number = 132

19 at the moment. Trying for an SR was mooted to the events secretary, however when the honeymoon had to shortened to free up holiday days ( I am not fit enough to even contemplate 600 on a weekend and then work) a veto was firmly exercised.

I'll get there when/if I get there.

21 points collected so far, so the 40 should happen.

Of course 2000km of brevets in France and Oz later this year won't count because they are 'real Audax' rides homologated by UAF, but not recognised by Audax UK as Audax.

Late starters might like to know there are 20 weekends from 14th May to the end of the season, so 'plenty of time'.

What are the odds on my making it, I wonder? Pretty long, I'd have thought....

You had me scratching my head for a moment, until I realised we haven't reached your "from 14th May" yet.  I'm on 17 points now so might just make it but it's looking closer than I had thought.  I must get out more (on my bike)

Another two points yesterday (subject to validation by Mr O'tea, obvs). Hailstorms: 2. Headwinds: 1. Double sausage sandwiches: 2. Large teas: 2.
Found it bloody hard and made it with time to spare but was utterly knackered at the end.
Points: 4.  ::-)

This is inspiring but still to get off the starting blocks. Looking at the calendar there is still time and I would like to think I could still make it....  I'm going to be busy

The official records are a bit lagging behind since I do a lot of continental events.
Currently 28 points, including the ones which are not yet in the AUK system. Of this 8 DIY points.
I still have a 400, 2 600 and a 1000 scheduled, although there is a small chance that work might force me to subsittute a 600 by another 1000 ;).
So 40 points shouldn't be a problem.

Aidan was kind enough to give out the randonneur badges at the Chevy, and I've hit 40 points (pending validation), so just* the 600 to go for the SR and the full set.

I plan to set the badges up diagonally on my saddlebag, a la the classic flying ducks.
