Yeah not complaining, just saying rrty + SR only equals 31 points for October starts, any other month and it doesn't.

I've generally sat in the 30-35 points total in the brief years I've been audaxing. This 40 point thing is pushing me out onto a few extra events / perms to get past the mark, and hopefully reach 50. So been a good incentive do me to try and free up a few more days this year for audax.

Unless you've already got one running, of course ... (though I guess that's a non-October restart).

Well I'm on 45 and I'm 70 next month so it's 70@70 for me this year. Then maybe 71@71 .....   Could be more almost as much fun than as Eddington numbers.  8)
FTFY  :)

Nah Don't agree. If you're the wrong side of 60 Eddington numbers are really boring because you  probably need an extra lifetime (or three) to get one small increase, whereas, with X(points) @ X (years), well! the drama just keeps on mounting.  :o

Right you are then, I shall go for "both" rather than "either". Currently on 30 points, 52yo and E=90. My goals this year were 1xHyper, 2xRRtY & 3xSR. Currently on track for all 3 so with only a bit of extra effort should reach both 52@52 and E=100 by 30 Sept
Eddington Number = 132

are the medals available yet? I'll be hopefully up for one after Sunday but the AUK page just shows a picture with no option to add to cart  :(

My understanding is medals will be ordered at the end of the season. Once auk know how many riders have reached 40 points.

I liked the green mudguard stickers a few riders were sporting on the Mille Pennines - very classy.

Just checked and I have managed the 40 points for the season - hurrah!  I get a medal!
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

You must be up for the prize in getting to 40 points in the fewest rides, I'd have thought. Assuming there is a 600 in the mix, that would be three?!

Ha! Yes, last three rides do the trick. 500, 2500 and 1000km rides.

Should have done it all in one ride for the anniversary.

Better start planning the 5000km ride for 2026. Or maybe sooner.

mmm pity there`s not a 40x 40 AAA medal / badge  the AAA points are a` no issue` around these parts (37 and counting this year ) , just a bit short on the distance thingie bit of it, like on 11 :(  Must try harder ! Ride more events.

Stickers are on the AUK medals site, as a freebie if you are ordering other medals and snazz.

Thanks. I've picked up the red ones at some events before, but having green and red would match the MC2 jersey  :)

I'm sure the AAA Man could come up with one if there was demand;

has AAA been going 40 years? just asking not sure

Gone through my planned rides for the rest of the year and its come in at 39. Bugger. So now looks like my toughest ride of the year might end up being a cheeky 200km after my brother-in-law's wedding, on the last day of the season.

Pending validation I hit 43 with a 600 last weekend   :smug:

It helps if you ride a lot of perms, which as a perms organiser then I do tend to — I wouldn't be anywhere near 40 on calendar events alone, except in a LEL or PBP year.
Lockdown lethargy. RRTY: wot's that? Can't remember if I'm on #8 or #9 ...

A mere 33. My lowest at this point in my four year history. Just wanna get to 40 (not the age) and keep the old RRtY going this year.

I was doing ok until mid May since when RL has quite seriously got in the way, managed 2 points since leaving me on 29, better get my finger out a bit, at least the 40 mph wind gusts being forecast for the weekend have been revised down a bit to be replaced with rain. I always struggle to find the time to ride in the summer, it's going to be very tight, on the plus side 7 months of RRTY done.

<sigh> only on 17 :(

If I manage my 500perm on Friday and the 600 e&w coasts 2 weeks later I'll be up to 28 - seems very unlikely I'll get another 12 points in the last 2 months :( will just have to save myself for 50@50@50 instead :)
