BBC & Olympics or C4 & Paralympics

was watching tonight's highlights show with the oh, and we both commented how we thought the C4 coverage was so much better than the BBC - it seemed so much more relaxed, entertaining and informative.

I don't remember a bbc equivalent of the 'last leg' show either.

Personally I think hats off the C4 for putting on such a good show on what must have been a substantially smaller budget.

I've really enjoyed The Last Leg. But the coverage as a whole - well, ad breaks spoil it.

BBC had Olympics today and it was sort of similar, but not quite.

The Last Leg has been brilliant at defusing any preachy/worthy/pompousness that might hang around the Paralympic coverage. 

As for coverage, ad breaks are balls.  The difference in budget is most apparent in the amount of supplementary material - Ch4's red button is okay; the Beeb's was absolutely immense and obviously a project they'd spent a lot of time, money and bandwidth on. 

These days I'm happy to pay my licence fee for the Beeb's corking digital content.
